At the SWTFOA board meeting on August 12, 2004, it was decided to alter the membership fees for the SWTFOA:

Effective immediately, the certification/recertification fee and the SWTFOA membership fee for the whole 2008 Olympiad will be as follows:

$40 if you choose to receive the SWTFOA newsletter electronically

$60 if you choose to continue receiving a copy of the SWTFOA newsletter via the US Postal Service

The changes are: no more yearly fee being paid to the SWTFOA, consequently there will be no more rulebooks and goodies mailed to you every year. Your membership fee will support this website to help serve as an educational and informational tool for our officials. For those who choose to receive a mailed copy of The Marks the extra $20 will cover the postage and printing of the newsletter for the Olympiad. Your membership in the SWTFOA and your USATF certification will expire at the end of the 2008 Olympiad.

Join the Interscholastic Track Officials Association of Texas (ITOAT)

The Interscholastic Track Officials Association of Texas (ITOAT) is an organization created to communicate rules information about high school track and field in the state of Texas.  ITOAT was created under the auspices of the UIL.

There are several benefits to this organization:

1. Receive a National Federation Rule Book each year
2. Receive rules comparison between UIL and National High School Federation
3. Receive rules clarifications (changes)
4. Required to be a member to officiate the state track and field meet, if invited to officiate
